Day by Day (12 days)
ARRIVE IN TANZANIA.
Upon arrival at Nyerere International Airport, you will be met and greeted by our safari guide from Millennia Safaris outside the customs, soon after you will be given a road transfer to the city centre for dinner and overnight. We will gather in the evening at the hotel for a pre-safari briefing and an equipment check. Dinner and overnight at harbour view suites: Half board.
GAME DRIVE IN MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK.
Morning pick-up at your hotel by a driver-guide and drive to Mikumi National Park which is approximately 5 hours drive from Dar es Salaam. There will be the afternoon game drives in the Park. Mikumi hosts buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, lions, pythons zebras, leopards crocodiles, Impalas, and hippos. Dinner and overnight at Vuma Hill Tented Lodge: Full Board.
GAME DRIVE IN RUAHA NATIONAL PARK.
After your breakfast at lodge departs for Ruaha National Park which is approximately 6 hours drive from Mikumi. The drive to Ruaha passes through farms and villages with very good landscapes and the Great Rift Valley. Dinner and overnight at Ruaha River Lodge: Full Board.
ANOTHER FULL DAY GAME DRIVE IN RUAHA NATIONAL PARK.
Start the day with full day game drives inside Ruaha National Park and enjoy picnic lunch in the bush. Ruaha National Park covers an area of 10,300 sq. km and is a vast and magnificent wilderness area and is Tanzania‘s second-largest Park. Ruaha national park is the home of the largest population of elephants. It also hosts large herds of buffaloes, kudus, Grant’s gazelles, wild dogs ostriches, roan and sable antelopes, and more than 400 different bird species. The great Ruaha River flows through the eastern side of the park and is home of hippos, crocodiles and water birds. Dinner and overnight at Ruaha River Lodge: Full Board.
RUAHA TO MBEYA.
After breakfast depart from Ruaha National Park for Mbeya Via Iringa Town with packed lunch boxes. Dinner and overnight at Utengule Coffee Lodge: Full board.
MBEYA TO SUMBAWANGA.
Depart after breakfast with packed lunch boxes for Sumbawanga town on your way to Katavi National Park. Enjoy your picnic lunch in one of the sites the driver guide will select for you and drive on to Sumbawanga. Dinner and overnight at Monrovia Conference Centre: Full board.
GAME DRIVE IN KATAVI NATIONAL PARK.
After breakfast, we drive to Katavi National Park with Packed lunch for a full day game drive in the park. Dinner and overnight at Katavi Wildlife Lodge: Full board.
ANOTHER FULL DAY GAME DRIVE IN KATAVI NATIONAL PARK.
After breakfast, you go for full day game drives with packed lunch. Enjoy your picnic lunch in one of the selected sites your guide will select for you. After the full day game drives in the park we will return to our special lodge for overnight. Dinner and overnight at Katavi Wildlife Lodge: Full board.
KATAVI TO KIGOMA.
After early breakfast, we drive to Kigoma with packed lunch boxes. Enjoy your lunch in one of the picnic sites your guide will select for you. Kigoma Hilltop Lodge: Full board.
FULL TOUR IN GOMBE STREAM NATIONAL PARK.
After breakfast, you are transferred to the boat terminal for your fast speedboat to Gombe National Park. On arrival, you check-in at Gombe Stream National Park Bandas/ Gombe Forest Lodge. Start with afternoon chimpanzee tracking and return back to your accommodation for overnight. Dinner and overnight at Gombe Bandas: Full board.
ANOTHER FULL DAY TOUR IN GOMBE STREAM NATIONAL PARK.
After breakfast, you go for full day chimpanzee tracking with packed lunch boxes. Have your lunch in one of the picnic sites in the Park. Return back to Gombe Stream National Park Bandas/Gombe Forest lodge for overnight Full Board. Gombe Stream National Park covers an area of only 52sq km and is Tanzania’s smallest National Park. The Gombe stream area was gazetted as a game reserve in 1943 and in 1968 Gombe was designated as a National Park. Gombe Stream National Park is one of the best Parks in Tanzania for tracking Chimpanzees. It’s also a good destination for hiking as travellers can hike in the Gombe forest. Other wildlife in the park is Colobus and vervet monkeys, bushbucks, baboons, bush pigs and a variety of birdlife. Dinner and overnight at Gombe Bandas: Full board.
GOMBE STREAM VIA KIGOMA TO DAR ES SALAAM.
After breakfast, you will be transferred by fast speedboat from Gombe Stream National Park to Kigoma. On arrival at Kigoma Airport you will catch the Precision air flight back to Dar es Salaam and On arrival in Dar es Salaam airport, you will connect with your International flight back home.
