Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park is known for its towering baobab trees and some of the largest elephant herds in Tanzania — groups of several hundred aren't unusual during the dry season, when wildlife concentrates along the Tarangire River, one of the only permanent water sources in the area. At roughly 2,850 square kilometers, it's quieter than the Serengeti or Ngorongoro but consistently rewarding for game viewing, and a popular add-on for travelers with limited time who still want a genuine safari experience.
