These Terms and Conditions govern any booking made with Millennia Safaris ("we," "us," "our"), a Tanzanian tour operator based in Arusha, Tanzania. By making a booking with us, whether directly or through this website, you agree to these terms.
A booking is confirmed once we receive your signed confirmation and a deposit of [DEPOSIT PERCENTAGE]% of the total trip cost. The remaining balance is due no later than [NUMBER] days before your travel start date. We accept payment via [PAYMENT METHODS — e.g. bank transfer, card payment]. Prices are quoted per person in USD unless otherwise stated, and are confirmed at the time of your written quote — they are not guaranteed until a deposit is received.
If you need to cancel a confirmed booking, cancellation fees apply on a sliding scale based on how close to your travel date you cancel:
We strongly recommend all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, in case your own circumstances change.
Exactly what's included in your trip price is confirmed in your individual written quote and itinerary. As a general rule across our itineraries: accommodation, park fees, a private vehicle and driver-guide, and meals as specified are included; international flights, visas, travel insurance, tips, and personal expenses are not, unless your quote specifically says otherwise.
It is your responsibility to hold a valid passport (with at least six months' validity remaining, and sufficient blank pages), any required visa, and to meet Tanzania's current health entry requirements, including yellow fever vaccination documentation where applicable — see our Yellow Fever Requirements page. We're happy to advise, but final responsibility for meeting entry requirements rests with you.
Every itinerary on this site is a sample, built to be adjusted to your preferences before booking. Once booked, we'll make reasonable efforts to accommodate any changes you request, though changes close to your travel date may not always be possible and may incur additional costs. We also reserve the right to make reasonable changes to a confirmed itinerary where necessary for safety, weather, road conditions, or circumstances outside our control, aiming to keep the overall experience and value equivalent.
We are not liable for any failure to perform our obligations where that failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather, political instability, government action, pandemic-related restrictions, or similar events.
We take reasonable care in selecting the accommodations, guides, and services used on your trip. However, safari travel involves inherent risks — wildlife encounters, remote locations, and travel by unpaved road among them — and we cannot accept liability for injury, loss, or damage arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control, or from your own actions. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under Tanzanian law.
We may take photographs during your trip for our own marketing use (this website, social media, brochures). If you'd prefer not to be included, just let your guide or our office know at any time — we're glad to respect that.
If anything about your trip falls short of what was agreed, please raise it with your guide or our office as soon as possible while you're still traveling, so we have a real chance to put it right. If you remain unsatisfied after your trip, please put your complaint in writing to info@millenniasafaris.com within 30 days of your return.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
