Lake Eyasi

Lake Eyasi, at the base of the Great Rift Valley near Ngorongoro, is home to the Hadzabe (Hadza) people — one of the last true hunter-gatherer communities in Africa, whose language uses distinctive click consonants and whose way of life has changed little for thousands of years. Cultural visits here typically include joining a morning hunt or gathering trip, alongside visits to the nearby Datoga people, known for traditional blacksmithing. It's one of the more meaningful cultural (rather than purely wildlife-focused) experiences available in northern Tanzania.
